Blogger Meet Up

I had a really nice day yesterday hanging out in my kitchen with the lovely Lorraine from the all-new Homebird blog. Not only did we have lovely chats and endless cups of tea but Lorraine very kindly brought with her the most decadently delicious home-made Courgette cake, with lime curd filling and cream cheese frosting. Yummy! It was completely demolished over the course of the afternoon as you can imagine!
Lorraine and I also had a little blogger trade-off. I traded some of my Cártaí Rúbaí greeting cards for a bottle of her fabulous home-made elderflower cordial. Great for me, as I had really wanted to make some but knew in my heart I would never get around to it (this year anyway, with the babes being so small) and hopefully good for her too as she shouldn't have to worry about buying birthday cards for a while!

Hooray for blogger meet-ups. More soon!

  1. Had a great day with you, Devo and the girls - I don't think I've ever drank so much tea!

Here's to more chat & cake.

  2. That cake looks fantastic - I'm big into courgette cakes and buns at the moment.

    Sounds like a wonderful day!

  3. oh courgette cake! do you think you could get the recipe for me? i've had the idea to make courgette cake, or cupcakes, but couldn't find any reviewed recipes... i like the idea of putting veggies into cakes, like carrot cake, and i remember in portugal we had delectable goodies made with pumpkin!
