Brown Paper Packages Tied Up With String...

There has been a flurry of packages arriving to our house of late. Something for each of us. It started with a tiny mock-parcel I made for Devo, for his birthday, to represent the gifts that were ordered (a bit late I'll admit) and on the way!
Inside I had folded up little print-outs of the covers of the books I had ordered for him.
The real thing finally arrived - on a slightly larger scale - and he had great fun actually receiving his birthday gifts. I mean, he appreciated the little parcel an' all... but actual books are a lot more fun to receive than pictures of books...

Another package arrived in my office for me last week. It was this book that I had ordered on a bit of a whim, on the recommendation of this lovely lady. It is a really delightful book and has some gorgeous projects that I'm dying to try. I'm so happy I bought it.

Just today TWO more packages arrived! Two in one day is beyond exciting! One can't quite be revealed just yet as it has another gifty purpose but the other is far and away the more exciting anyway!

A belated birthday gift for my little girls from CousAunt Jo, CoUncle Jordan and little Mary P.
Beautifully wrapped and completely adorable backpacks!

A ladybird.
And a bumble bee.
And inside?! Maracas! A ladybird and a bumble bee, of course. These are a big hit, as anything that rattles or makes noise is very popular with this pair.

I can see these backpacks being incredibly useful for years to come. They are by LittleLife, and are such a clever design. They have tons of different styles and I see that they are currently running a competition to win a back-pack. Why not give it a whirl and see if you can't get your hands on one of these for a tiny lovely person in your life?!

Not only are packages arriving but there is quite an important package currently being assembled to leave this house too. Here's a little sneak-peek at one of the (yet unfinished) items it will (eventually) contain.
Curious? All will be revealed soon!
