I'm not really a scary Mommy. Unless you count when I'm requested to be a 'scary witch' or a 'scary monster' by my children. I can pull off scary when needs be - my bachelors degree in Drama has come in really useful for that. I suppose I might be a bit scary in the morning too, when I'm dragged out of bed at scary-o'clock and haven't had a cuppa yet. I'm probably very scary then, actually....

But that's not the point of this post. The point is that I'm bragging about being a scary Mommy because I had a piece I wrote published on the SCARY MOMMY site yesterday. And, not to blow my own trumpet (OK, I'm totally blowing my own trumpet) it's been shared 8500+ times on Facebook alone. I even got my very own trolls chiming in with their mean tuppence worth, which was more entertaining and less soul-crushing an experience than I thought it would be.
The piece was based on this one I wrote a little while ago, but all chopped up changed around and with a snazzy new title etc. I'm pretty thrilled about the whole thing to be honest.
Feel free to click HERE to have a read.
And here's a bonus picture of my twins being totally manageable.
Just to prove it's possible.
Well done!

DeleteBrilliant little piece Mrs. D!
ReplyDeleteThanks husband, trying to keep it Shingy ;)
DeleteGreat article! I remember when my wife was pregnant with our second child thinking "having 1 is hard enough how will we cope with 2!". But now when we get time with just one of them it's heaven! We actually took separate hols this year so we could have some relaxing time ourselves. I went away with my son and my wife went away with our daughter. Heaven! And the kids appreciated some one-on-one time with each of us too!
ReplyDeleteThanks S and thanks for such a nice comment! I LOVE that you took separate holidays. That's the ultimate one-on-one time!
DeleteYou're not scary at all ;) Well done! Great article and achievement.
ReplyDeleteThanks so much, lovely Lucy xx

DeleteWell done! And glad the trolls didn't bother you - there are always going to be people who don't read articles properly or willfully misunderstand. Feck 'em.
ReplyDeleteThanks Office Mum! There was one or two comments that stung a little - but you're right. Feck 'em!
